Spanish is the official language in Costa Rica, so learning some Spanish before you go there will help you get laid. The crowd is more local than Hoxton on Tuesdays, but the party is still great. Aside from the concrete aspects that you can observe on the surface, Costa Rica has more to offer than meets the eye. Sorry, no flash found. :( - Just be careful that you are not being over charged which is common in nicer looking restaurants.
Arriving in Costa Rica after being in Panama for quite some time, I was slightly disappointed. Costa Rica is much more expensive than Panama in almost every way. The only thing cheaper in Costa Rica was monthly rentals in the capital. Still, I spent around 5 weeks in Costa Rica with a majority of them being in San Pedro, the university town suburb of San Jose. San Pedro is a five to ten-minute taxi ride to almost anywhere in San Jose. I skipped a majority of the tourist areas after a disappointing time in Puerto Viejo. I believe I traveled through Costa Rica the wrong. That being said — you can still do well for yourself in Costa Rica and have a great time. What are Costa Rican Girls Like? Some men do find them to be amazing. Costa Rican women generally have a lighter complexion than many other Latin countries. Thetica women can be curvy, but certainly not Caribbean-curvy. The problem with Costa Rica women is two-fold. The country has been ambushed with gringos for the past thirty years. Nowadays — the country is absolutely played out. Yet, there is another factor working against you. Costa Rican women are just not that slutty. The women in Costa Rica generally prefer boyfriends. Couples were making out everywhere over the whole city. The good news is you can find girls in Costa Rica in every way. I found night game to work the best, but night game and day game works fine too. As the nightlife is western and liberal, I believe most men will prefer the nightlife here to other forms ofgame. This is a great guide. I stumbled around drunk numerous times late at night, sometimes alone and sometimes with a girl. I never had any issues. However, I heardof a number of people getting jumped near the mall at dusk and at night. Tico men are smaller and I think my upper body size was a bit of a deterrent for them. Cheap Rent: Rent can be found extremely cheaply in San Pedro and San Jose. Negatives of San Jose Ugly Place: San Jose and San Pedro are both ugly places in my opinion. You can see some mountains on the skyline, but the architecture is not impressive. The rain combined with the shithole of a city is not a good combo. Americanized: Costa Rica, on a whole, is way too Americanized. The people are almost tired of gringos. This threw the vibe off quite a bit in my experiences. You may be better off in Costa Rica with a look that could be misconstrued for a local. Where To Stay I would not recommend staying in downtown San Jose. The place is not that impressive and a bit gritty. If you choose to stay downtown, I recommend staying somewhere near Club Vertigo and Rapsodia Lounge. There are a number of restaurants near this area as well. More… There are a few other suburbs near San Jose that may be worth checking out — one being Heredia. I recommend you do the same. If you are staying in San Pedro, I would skip hotels and hostels and try to grab an apartment. Being a university town, the rent ischeep. You can check Airbnb. Costa Rica Ticas: Day Game Costa Rica girls made me give day game a try — for real. I did a majority of my approaching walking near the main university in San Pedro, University of Costa Rica UCR. I also did a couple of approaches at Mall San Pedro. The area nearTheatro Nacional in downtown San Jose is crawling with women during the day and is a decent day game spot. I did a few approaches there one day, but again, nothing came of it. Often, these girls are cute as hell, smiling and bored. I started to walk into every pharmacy I saw downtown just to see if I could flirt a bit. You can open in English or Spanish. Costa Rica Ticas: Night Game I found the nightlife in San Pedro and San Jose to be pretty good, but it still did not make up for how much I disliked Costa Rica on the whole. The one way the Americanization of Costa Rica benefitted me was that the nightlife was all about mingling. Panama City had good nightlife, but it was often difficult to find a venue that was great for picking up chicks. In San Jose and San Pedro, I found numerous venues I could meet Ticas on a consistent basis. The good nightlife was only in a select few areas, at least for me. You may have different tastes in music, so you may find a number of spots you like. Hoxton: On Tuesdays, I went to Hoxton in San Pedro. It might be my favorite club in the world on a Tuesday. They play hip-hop mixed with some Latin Music on this night every week. I went every Tuesday I was in San Pedro and pulled 3 one-night stands. I was only in San Pedro for, I believe, 5 Tuesdays. La Concha De La Lora: OnThursdays I went to La Concha De La Lora en La California. La California is a bar district set between San Pedro and downtown San Jose. The location is convenient for almost everyone in the city. The bar has a ladies night on Thursdays and plays reggae roots. The crowd is more local than Hoxton on Tuesdays, but the party is still great. I went a few times and always grabbed at least a few numbers before heading home. I never pulled a one-night stand from here, but always had a good time. The party is pretty fun. There is a block downtown with 3 clubs right next to each other. All three places often had a good crowd on a Friday and Saturday. Overall, I preferred Rapsodia the most. Club Vertigo is electronic music and a huge facility. Add them on Facebook and talk to locals to find out when Club Vertigo will be good. The bar is behind Rapsodia and almost always packed on the weekend. Other Thoughts On Nightlife I always went out on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. However, you can find something going on almost every night in San Jose or San Pedro. Sunday nights are said to be good at La Concha De La Lora again. Mondays in the La California area are known to be a good for a party as well. Online Game Surprisingly, most of the Costa Rican girls I got with were from my night game. The girls have met a number of gringos before and you will not be anything special, especially if your Spanish is average. If she has English in her profile text, you can use whatever opener you normally would back in the Western World. Ticas are generally not easy girls. I say this because I lost a number of girls due to pushing to meet at my place in San Pedro. These girls appreciate the boyfriend type of vibe a bit more than most. While I had no comparisons to make after my time in Panama, I do now. I much prefer Panama City to San Jose or San Pedro. Still, you can find great Costa Rican girls in the city and there is no excuse not to. Anyway, they are a mixstures between Mexicans and Colombians: you can find any type of girl you like blonde are kinda of rare but not too much. They can get possessive, expect you to pay everytime, touchy but not too much. Also they love to go out and live pura vida! They really care about you and treat you as the only man in the world. For the rest, good luck in the happiest country of the world! Next, the 2 places that you mentioned, Puerto Viejo and Tamirindo are hte wrong places to go. The nickname for Tamarindo is Tamagringo. You have to find the places that are off the beaten track and on a beautiful beach. Costa Rica has 2 prices, a local price and a gringo price. If you make friends with some good local people and start paying local prices it can be fairly inexpensive. The honest truth is, I think you did this trip all wrong from what you wrote. I go to Samara Beach, the girls are beautiful and friendly, no prostitutes, no casinos, the police are friendly and it is paradise. I just moved back to the US Chicago on October 3. I had a great time. The amount that I saved on dental work paid for or more than paid for the cost of my trip. I will be going back for another 1-2 weeks at the end of this year. I might even be moving back there in a little bit more than a year. In my opinion Costa Rica is MUCH better than Panama much better women and climate, much easier to flag down a taxi, and although the food isn´t great in CR it beats the food in Panama. Costa Rica definitely has the most attractive women in Central America. Of course, Colombia and Venezuela also have lots of attractive women. But since Venezuela isn´t safe to travel to any more, that pretty much leaves Costa Rica and Colombia. If you go to Colombia, I would recommend Medellin. It has a great climate, its cheap, and the women there are gorgeous. Probably slightly hotter women in Medellin than in CR and significantly cheaper but English is not widely spoken in Medellin like it is in Costa Rica. If you are on a budget and speak good Spanish you might want to try Medellin, Colombia. But if your Spanish is limited or non-existent and you have some money to throw around then I would probably recommend Costa Rica. In this great design of things you secure an A for effort and hard work. Where you lost me was first on the specifics. As people say, details make or break the argument.. And that could not be much more correct right here. Having said that, let me tell you just what exactly did deliver the results. Your authoring is certainly really powerful and that is possibly why I am making an effort in order to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, even though I can certainly notice a leaps in reason you come up with, I am not necessarily convinced of how you appear to connect the ideas that make the actual final result. For now I will subscribe to your position but hope in the foreseeable future you link the dots much better.
